Neurology MA's Needed!
Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Ahwatukee, AZ
Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hr/week)
Experience: 2 Years Minimum (Neurology)
Wage: $18-25/hr
This position will be responsible for all of the following. If you do not have experience in all of the mentioned skillsets please note your application will likely not be considered as a good fit, however we will review depending on skills/experience which may be relatable.
Daily Primary Responsibilities
- Rooming and Prepping Patients for Office Visits / Testing / Procedures
- Presenting patients to providers with proper required documents (DI, Labs, History, etc.)
- Entering all referrals & orders from performing provider
- Completion and recording encounters in EHR system
- Entering all referrals & orders from performing provider
- Sanitization of each exam room after each visit
- Logging of all medications used for current DOS
- Preparing notes for following DOS
- Dating all opened vials/medications in clinic
- Explaining to patients care provided to appropriate level of ability
Daily Secondary Responsibilities
- Preparing/reviewing supplies necessary for following DOS
- Check that patients from current DOS are scheduled for follow up appt
- Checking & performing tasks to complete any Documents, Telephone Encounters, Referrals, etc. (Imaging updates, medication prior auth, patient complaints, etc.)
- Checking & responding to emails
- Stocking all exam rooms
Weekly Responsibilities
- Report complete inventory of medications & supplies to manager
- Checking and reviewing inventory for expired meds
