POSITION SUMMARY:

CT Mechanical is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, communication skills (both written and verbal), and a devotion to team work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and evaluate cost estimates
• Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
• Prepare estimates in detail for all products, materials, equipment, subcontractors, etc.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates
• Understand scope of work to bid
• Prepare cost analysis
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Assist the operations team in preparation of change orders
• All other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Three (3) years’ experience in construction estimating preferred
• Able to read and understand plans and specifications
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
• Proficiency with MS suite (including excel) and Adobe
• Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
• Impeccable problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service driven
• Strong attention to detail
• Aptitude for math is preferred
• Strong aptitude for learning and understanding estimating software
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

Work Hours (approximate) 7am - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
