International Paper Cedar Rapids Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
Effectively troubleshoot and repair facility and production equipment.
Install new or rebuilt machine parts.
Rebuild failed components.
Support installation of new systems and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
Other necessary requirements:
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to work additional and flexible hours (including weekends) as needed.
Read and understand drawings, diagrams, schematics, OEM Manuals, and other manufacturer specifications.
Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Qualifications:
Background: Prefer 2 years minimum industrial field experience as a Multi-Disciplined Mechanical Technician.
Strong hands on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems is a must.
Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules & regulations.
Must have own tools - industry specific tools supplied.
Starting pay will be based on skill level and/or experience, with a potential to earn $28.45/hour. There is great potential for future promotional opportunities based upon performance and demonstrated skills.
Candidates selected for further processing will be required to complete a computerized battery of tests on job-related skills, a panel interview, background check, drug screen, and pre-employment health assessment.
