The Material Handler will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehoused parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production and logistics teams to meet customer demands and plant targets. Various tasks include:
- Perform cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform bin-to-bin transfers of inventory as required to keep inventory locations fully replenished.
- Support manufacturing with raw material replenishment and finished goods put-away.
- Prepare skids, assemble crates, and bulk pack product as required.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic problems.
- Accurately enter inventory transactions into ERP system
- Operate a forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials within the plant, load, and unload trucks
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience: We prefer a H.S graduate or equivalent and 2 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
· Experience in use of personal computers and related programs (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel)
· SAP experience a plus
· Ability to use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.
Physical Requirements: This position requires being able to lift at least 70 pounds and may require sitting/standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions: Working in a factory with some high Noise, heavy products, overhead cranes and high temperatures. Some administrative work preparing reports, collecting data, or entering transactions in computer.
