We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our Packing House team as a crucial link in the food supply chain.

The Packing House Material Handling Associate reports to the Shift Supervisor, Leader or Production Manager at John Vena, Inc. The Packing House Material Handling Associate is responsible for supporting all product handling activities in the packinghouse. This role is responsible for order fulfillment, product handling, loading, unloading, proper product storage, lot rotation and inventory control activities. Everyday work will include regular operation of various kinds of warehouse equipment.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a full-time position. The following schedules are available: 10am-2pm (Sun.-Thurs.).

• Responsible for picking raw or finished goods and delivery to Packinghouse or assigned customers.
• Assists other Staff as required.
• Responsible for loading, unloading and proper storage of product and packaging
• Maintains all products and packages in an orderly manner.
• Responsible for stock rotation, consolidation and replenishment.
• Delivers finished goods to assigned drop off area.
• Reports poor quality or poor condition product to Shift Leader or Production Manager immediately.
• Responsible for proper product selection according to company procedures.
• Assists Shift Supervisor and or Shift Leader in all business-related activities.
• Works alongside production team when needed.

ABOUT YOU

Skills & Abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures required.
• Basic knowledge of the operation of warehouse equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) to three (3) years warehouse or produce business experience required
