Position Summary

The Marketing & Events Manager will serve as Home of Hope’s point person with internal and external customers of the marketing team, planning and maintaining oversight of all marketing projects, will be responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, will plan and oversee volunteer recruitment and coordination, and will plan and oversee all public relations activities. All activities will be conducted in collaboration with and under direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. The position will serve as the Direct Supervisor of the Visual Marketing Coordinator.

Key responsibilities:

· Develop marketing materials, news articles, and content for newsletters, website, Facebook, and other social media outlets.

· Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about organizational news and initiatives.

· Work actively to expand Home of Hope’s external visibility through media and cultivation of mail and email contacts.

· Develop and enhance Home of Hope’s internal marketing as it relates to current staff and the recruitment of future staff members.

· Plan and coordinate events to generate funding and to cultivate relationships with current and future donors.

· Assume primary responsibility for various fundraising activities such as product sales, live and online auctions, and working individually and with volunteers to obtain items for sale in auctions.

· Recruit, schedule, and ensure a positive experience for volunteers.

· Conduct analysis to determine the effectiveness of each marketing campaign and fundraising event, and report key findings to relevant stakeholders.

· Work collaboratively with CEO, board members, marketing and development team members, and volunteers on all marketing and fundraising initiatives.

· Assume primary responsibility for consistent and effective branding across the organization.

· Work directly with CEO on establishing annual marketing strategies and on developing annual budget as it relates to all marketing and event activities and targets.

· Fulfills other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, non-profit management, fundraising, or related field such as communications, public relations, or marketing.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Exceptional interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

· Demonstrated effectiveness in supervision and leadership.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently.

· Experience in nonprofit and/or human service field preferred.Development coordinators must have strong leadership skills to manage volunteers and successfully run events. Organization skills are also a big must, as the development coordinator often handles many unique tasks at once. Additionally, they must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access to maintain the fundraising database and keep track of other documents. A bachelor's degree or more in a field related to the organization's mission typically is preferred.

· Must possess valid driver’s license with a good driving history.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
