Job Summary

The Marketing & Engagement Coordinator works under the supervision of the Marketing & Engagement Manager and operates in a multichannel environment, requiring the ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and tele-communications, using good judgment to aid members and providers, disseminating detailed information, and answering questions about DHMP health plans. Responds to inbound calls and e-mails, providing courteous, knowledgeable service to all members. Provides registration and on-site support, as needed. This job will be remote/ WFH. However, on-site in-person meetings and events may be required. The coordinator must be able to work independently and in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and strategic initiatives. This position is essential to improving CAHPS scores and increasing member engagement.

Essential Functions:
  • Act as a communications concierge to all Members and Providers. (10%)

  • Assist in the development of engagement programs. (5%)

  • Assist in the development of mapping membership journey and audience personas. (5%)

  • Develop programs to increase membership and awareness of the DHMP BeWell portals. (5%)

  • Actively participate in DHMP Employee Engagement Committee (5%)

  • Update and maintain the membership lists, coordinate the submission, review, and notification activities of member and provider lists with corresponding departments. (5%)

  • Support Engagement Analyst with all member out-reach initiatives and events. (5%)

  • Aid in creation of event marketing materials as needed. (5%)

  • Participate in outbound and inbound telephone campaigns (5%)

  • Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, and organizational offerings to promote DHMP membership and provide information on DHMP programs, products, and services. Educate or instruct members how to navigate information on DHMP Member portal, website, and social sites. (5%)

  • Direct members to internal departments based on needs. (5%)

  • Participate in content creation and development for marketing initiatives. (5%)

  • Assist in the creation of content for quarterly member newsletters (5%)

  • Aid and assist the Engagement Analyst in social media posting and messaging. (5%)

  • Support the marketing team in external and internal communication efforts. (5%)

  • Develop and maintain a member and provider engagement calendar. (5%)

  • Investigate inquiries thoroughly, apply initiative and creativity in troubleshooting and resolving problems, and report service trends to supervisor. (5%)

  • Support the coordination and implementation of annual membership recruitment and retention plans; seek new opportunities to promote value of membership. (5%)

  • Develop and assist with regular review and maintenance of protocols and procedures related to position’s responsibilities. (5%)

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years 1+ years of customer service, marketing or communications experience Required and

  • Previous association experience and/or working with healthcare providers and their teams preferred but not required.

Licenses:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong desire to grow in the communications and marketing field with emphasis on non-profit membership retention & acquisition.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. Exercise maturity, judgment, tact, and diplomacy during interactions with members.

  • Effective verbal and written communications, with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone and email to a variety of stakeholders and membership.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to demonstrate accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through, while working. Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of managing many projects at once, working with multiple people and other departments; able to prioritize job tasks and independently manage one’s time to meet project deadlines. Have a proven track record of reliability.

  • Sound administrative strategies and tactics that promote excellence in responsibilities.

  • May include some local travel to attend DHMP events.

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • SharePoint (preferred not required)

  • Gmail

  • Design software such as Adobe creative suite or Canva (preferred, not required)

  • Smartsheets (preferred not required)

  • Familiarity with Social media platforms: TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram
