We are interested in hiring a part-time/full-time marketing assistant to join our Competitive Edge team. In this role, you will create, edit, and post content for social media, our website, bimonthly blogs, weekly emails, lead magnets, as well as producing marketing materials for sales and promotions.

The primary outcome of your role is to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the marketing department by directly assisting the marketing director in copywriting, social media outreach, content creation, and digital advertising to increase overall lead generation.

Key Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Directly assist the marketing director in project completion of tasks (both scheduled and unscheduled) based on business needs.
  • Post to social media platforms consistently throughout the week with high quality content to generate increased followers and engagement.
  • Personally write, edit, and publish 2 blogs per month based on content calendar, utilizing keyword optimization, headings, pictures/media; post blog on company website, and cross-promote on appropriate social platforms.
  • Personally write, format, and schedule weekly broadcast emails, including pictures, links to blogs, and promotion details, to send to our client list.
  • Create marketing flyers for live events, in-clinic promotions, and B2B marketing.
  • Edit videos for social media, our website, and various paid advertisement channels.
  • Conduct monthly, 2-hour long “media days” to record videos and take pictures with PT staff to accompany social media, blog, and ebook content topics.
  • Attend community events and races
  • Learn and utilize our CRM process and assist with copywriting for email marketing campaigns.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed in-clinic.

Key Administrative Responsibilities:

  • For 10-15 hours per week, you will be the primary front desk contact when our Client Care Coordinator is not in office. During this time, you will continue working on marketing and content creation, but you will be expected to prioritize the needs of clients in the clinic and over the phone.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide information as requested.
  • Schedule clients.
  • Accept payments.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate our services and value to clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing/editing skills with desire to improve direct response marketing and copywriting skills.
  • Ability to create high quality posts on Instagram and Facebook, including knowledge of Instagram story creation and hashtag growth.
  • Able to meticulously follow direction from supervisor and ask clarifying questions as needed.
  • Ability to work autonomously on projects.
  • Effective with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, social media, and CRM tools.

Must be based in the Bay Area, CA to work in our office in San Jose; must be a US citizen.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years copywriting for blogs, online publications, or print/digital advertisements
  • 1-2 years creating social media content for a business or brand and interacting on social media to engage clients
  • Proven track record of working autonomously and being self-directed in time management if given a list of priorities and tasks
  • Experience with video editing a plus
  • Experience with basic clerical and administrative duties a plus

Your Compensation:

  • $18-25 per hour
  • 3% matching SIMPLE IRA plan.
  • $200 medical premium stipend per month. (Full Time)
