About the Position

The Marketing and Outreach Specialist will be responsible for conducting outreach in the community to raise awareness of and promote Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The incumbent will participate in community events and fairs with staff from CalOptima Health. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in community meetings, provide center tours and facilitate program presentations. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Enrollment Coordinators and the Inter-Disciplinary Care team at PACE with the goal of increasing census within the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
• Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
• Works collaboratively with the Manager and Enrollment Coordinators to implement PACE's marketing plan and develop marketing and outreach strategies accordingly.
• Conducts targeted consumer driven outreach to community-based organizations under the direction of the Manager.
• Participates in community health events/fairs throughout the county.
• Maintains and tracks outreach efforts by utilizing program performance tools and software.
• Develops and maintains program qualitative and quantitative reports to assess and analyze outreach activities for the purpose of maximizing program enrollment.
• Works with the Manager in ordering and maintaining stock of program promotional material.
• Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Special Events Management or related experience required.
• Must take and successfully pass State administered marketing exam within first 90 days of being hired.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle, or other approved means of transportation, an acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance will be required for work away from the primary office 50% of the time or more.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred.
• Bilingual in English and in one of CalOptima Health's defined threshold languages (Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese)
