OUR POSITION:
We are currently recruiting for a Market Vice President of Human Resources will support support Lovelace Health System. Ardent owns and operates Lovelace Health System. Lovelace Health System is comprised of Lovelace Medical Center, Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center, New Mexico Heart Institute, Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital, Lovelace Women's Hospital, Lovelace Westside Hospital, Lovelace Regional Hospital and Lovelace Medical Group/Southwest Medical Associates.


The Market Vice President, Human Resources implements and measures all aspects of the organization’s strategic Human Resources initiatives, policies, and objectives. Supports the achievement of the market and corporate business plans through the effective implementation and management of Human Resources strategy, policy and programs at the executive level.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, align and measure corporate Human Resources strategic initiatives in the market with the support of Corporate Human Resources Centers of Expertise to accomplish business objectives. Assist the leadership in transition to organization’s Human Resources culture towards improved outcome orientation, customer service and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop and lead market Human Resource leaders in areas of human resource knowledge, strategy, communication and other key competencies.
  • Ensure Human Resources policies and practices are consistent with and support our mission and are in compliance with guidelines, Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise to develop recruiting strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the market for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the region, including clinical placement.
  • Partner with Total Rewards Center of Expertise in the development of progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance. Ensure alignment in market in relation to compensation practices.
  • Define and support Talent Engagement and Development Center of Expertise with structure and curriculum needs to support and enhance developmental opportunities in the market.
  • Utilize data and metrics to define additional Human Resources needs within the market.
  • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the market. Included in this area would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development.
  • Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the Human Resources discipline.
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets.
  • Participate in senior management meetings and activities.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related Human Resources experience.
  • Related experience is defined as multi-site leadership experience preferably in the health care field.
