The Market Cafe at Michael Anthony’s is currently looking for an energetic and highly motivated person who is excited about providing extraordinary customer service, food service, and hospitality! The Assistant Manager will assist the Cafe Manager as needed, which may include other duties as assigned. The hours are Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, the ability to multitask, excellent communication abilities, and enjoy a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.

• Ability to interact closely with customers, answer questions, offer assistance, suggest items, lend opinions and provide product information.

• Foodies and people who love to cook and entertain are especially encouraged to apply!

• Prior background in retail, food and beverage, or customer service is a plus!

• Solid interpersonal skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• 9-10 AM: set up Cafe for lunch and retail service.

• 10-11:30 AM: package retail items that were prepped the day before. This includes packaging sauces, fresh pasta, soups, meats, cheeses, etc.

• 11:30 AM-2:00 PM: provide food service to guests during lunch service. We serve lunch 11:30 AM-2 PM daily, Monday-Saturday.

• 2-3PM: break down lunch service and rotate lunch break with Market Manager.

• 3-5PM: resume any unfinished packaging. Complete tasks assigned by restaurant manager. This may include but will not be limited to: Organizing retail shelves and keeping the products and shelves clean, orderly and easily accessible for customers; Cleaning and organizing the retail closet; Checking inventory levels and maintaining a running to-order list; Pricing products; Removing any expired or damaged items.
