Manufacturing Quality Technician (1st shift 7:00a-3:30p M-F) Job at Tark Inc

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Technician is responsible for completing QMS processes related to incoming, in-process, andfinished goods and customer returns in the Boston facility. This person will also help improve and troubleshoot processes with guidance from the Quality and production team. Provide support in the form of data collection/entry, documentation, sorting, and verification activities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tool calibration schedule
  • Digital site Quality records
  • Data entry – Non-conforming product detail into trend sheets (excel), ERP transactions and similar
  • Metric tracking – data pull and entry to ensure real time tracking
  • Assemble plots and charts of gathered information
  • Ensuring completeness of and filing quality department records
  • Completion of failure analysis for returned products, this could include hands on disassembly, analysis of product, and report writing.
  • Data Analysis, record pulls
  • Disposition of non-conforming material
  • Inspection, containment activities and reporting
  • Acquire and send information to vendors relating to quality issues
  • Support internal audits
  • Provide general support for the manufacturing, and quality teams in the form of problem solving and continuous improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • S. Diploma or GED required – Associates Degree highly desirable
  • Minimum of 3+ years of recent and relevant experience required
  • Basic computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with standard quality processes: PPAP, FAI, corrective action, root cause analysis
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
  • Experience with the use of electrical and mechanical lab equipment, such as multimeters, power supplies, gauges, and other test equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to disassemble and analyze returned product (motors, bearings, act.)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required for vendor and cross site interaction
  • Familiarity with print reading
  • Comfortable with basic math skills
  • Detail oriented, disciplined, and accountable for results
  • Works well with others, great team player, and handles conflict/change with an open mind
  • Willingness to bring forward continuous improvement ideas and implement where applicable

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
