Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer who can efficiently oversee our company's design and implementation processes. You should be able to handle a dynamic work environment and have solid experience in process design and improvement.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support our manufacturing team in evaluating and optimizing current manufacturing processes and suggesting new methods and processes to reduce cost, reduce manufacturing cycle time and waste, and improve overall product quality. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and keeping records of all process executions.

This is a full time onsite role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact with Customer Field Engineers on Product Feedback, including Quality Excursion for coordination and Resolution
  • Continuously evaluates and improves manufacturing processes by applying Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Six Sigma tools and knowledge to ensure superior product quality, reduced cycle times, and minimized manufacturing costs.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished- product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Supports audits and trials through data and process analysis, documenting findings, and preparing reports, including Executive Summary.
  • Assists in mapping and documenting complex business processes to support process improvement efforts.
  • Conduct training, when appropriate, on engineering concepts and tools, including but not limited to process control and capability, root causes, corrective actions and analysis, essential quality, and problem-solving tools.
  • Utilizes a high level of judgment and can propose different data-driven solutions outside of setting parameters, with approval and guidance.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and report performance metrics against targets to determine performance gaps and recommends/executes improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with deploying approved and assigned best practices and confirms/reports local impacts.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing/lean improvement environment
  • "Self-starter" attitude and comfortable in a hands-on environment
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: business principles, legal practices, customer needs, and expectations; statistical process control and analysis; generally accepted managerial practices and procedures; quality assurance principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures
  • Experience with Lean Concepts and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills (communicate with all levels of the organization)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the improvement of manufacturing processes, design, and integration
  • Ability to plan and document action items and execute programs
  • In-depth understanding of cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, perform complex tasks, organize and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Application experience and skill (MS Office, MINITAB, or similar statistical tools)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently
  • Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information confidentially.
  • Must possess analytical thinking skills and knowledge of statistical process control and statistical analysis, including designed experiments

The salary range for this role is $112,065 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
