This is an exciting opportunity to join the Castbond Manufacturing Engineering team at the Advanced Turbine (ATC) Center in Indianapolis. We are incorporating cutting-edge technology into the HPT blade for the Trent XWB-97 engine (fitted on the Airbus A350-1000The capability of the new processes will be developed to meet quality and efficiency requirements of the Rolls-Royce TRL system. Additionally, the NC programmer will be a critical member of the engineering team developing the Model Based Definition (MBD) for the Castbond HT3 Step 3 blade.

As part of Manufacturing Engineering – the NC Programmer will work with Process Owners in developing and implementing CNC programs for milling, EDM, and laser processes.

Key Accountabilities:
- Engage with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams in developing the MBD for the Castbond HT3 Step 3 blade to ensure control of the definition and manufacturability.
- Create NC programs for milling, EDM, and laser operations with both CAM and manual programming. Apply tooling selection based on material and applicable process parameters.
- Provide technical information required for the Rolls-Royce Technology Readiness Level (TRL) process for Castbond blade industrialization.
- Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the current and future capability of manufacturing processes in relation to component manufacturing
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics or Maths with 1 plus years of experience, OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, Physics or Maths, OR
