Position Overview:
Manager, Product Management

The Novelis North America (NNA) Can Team is seeking a Manager, Product Management. The North American cansheet market has experienced significant growth in both volume and complexity over the past 5 years, and this growth is projected to continue through the next decade. To take advantage of this growth, NNA is investing $2.5bn in a greenfield mill in Bay Minette – an investment that will lead to growth of our cansheet business from 700kt to over 1100kt. A dedicated Manager, Product Management for the NNA Can Value Stream is critical for ensuring NNA is making long term strategic decisions in this core market as effectively as possible, which will be essential to meeting our long term Focused Five goals and optimally driving the commitments made in the Bay Minette RFA.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Responsibilities
  • Driving the development of the long term strategy for the Can VS
  • Analyzing market/industry intelligence to find insights that will ensure our pricing and negotiation strategies are optimized
  • Leading customer segmentation/prioritization process for Can to help define our customer mix through 2030 and beyond
  • Providing analytical support for all commercial negotiations and lead commercial RFA development
  • Working with NGRTC, Global Can R&D and NNA Can commercial team to develop a case for critical R&D projects
  • Delivering timely reporting on the state of the NNA Can business to key partners
  • Development of long term strategic marketing plan for NNA Can
  • Reporting and communication of progress to approved growth strategy/strategic marketing plan
  • Customer and market segmentation
  • Pricing/profitability analysis
  • Commercial RFA delivery
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in B2B or global manufacturing
  • Experience developing sales or commercial strategies
  • Experience coordinating cross-functionally
  • Ability to communicate at an executive level
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Indirect influencing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Masters Degree in Engineering
  • 5-10 years in aluminum or basic materials manufacturing
  • Previous strategy or management consulting experience
  • Familiarity with aluminum or other raw materials
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM
  • Experience using SAP
