Summary

The Security Manager (Hotel) reports to Harwood International’s Chief of Security and is responsible for the daily operation and protection of the hotel, guests, and property, and is the first response to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Implements and administers security programs that control access to the organizations facilities or assets
• Manages a team of security guards that are responsible for monitoring company grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other loss of company property
• Investigates and records accidents, theft or other losses, or allegations of illegal behavior
• Incumbents in this position may or may not be required to hold a valid firearms license and carry a firearm while on duty.
• Coordinates and leads response to emergency conditions, such as fire, safety hazards threats to life and/or property
• Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff
• Assist in the training of all team members in OSHA mandated training, Safe Work Practices and team member safety and accident prevention
• Implement and perform mandatory Security Department Training functions
• Implement SOP’s, policies, regulations, rules, and norms to ensure the environment in the organization is kept safe for employees and guests
• Build, and maintain a comprehensive work-reward system within the department, promoting positive work ethic and employee morale
• Assist restaurant management in ensuring guest compliance with alcohol consumption and general behavior guidelines
• Resolve challenges and conflicts to the satisfaction of customers and employees
• Manage weekly scheduling and time reporting of hotel’s security team
• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access, valet, bell services and housekeeping if required
• Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with direct reports, coworkers, and guests

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a security leadership role within luxury hotels
• Military or police experience a plus
• Security License by State of Texas
• 4 years of experience in management role
