This position is available fully remote, however it will include travel throughout Washington state.

Job Summary

This market facing role is responsible for leading a team of Account Managers selling and promoting enrollment growth opportunities for all CHPW products and services. Success depends on developing strong relationships with multiple partner organizations including Community Health Centers (CHCs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Lead Organizations, Preferred Providers, and the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. The position has direct responsibility for achieving yearly enrollment and retention targets.

Essential Functions

  • With guidance from leadership sets team strategy and enrollment goals for their assigned business relationships.
    • Ensures team goals are in alignment with company strategic product growth targets.
    • Develops a growth mindset with field team and provides direction to ensure goals are met.
    • Tracks and monitors field team monthly performance, measuring and reporting progress against those goals; ensures field staff is applying their time/focus where it will have greatest impact on enrollment growth.
    • Conducts and documents field staff oversight to ensure compliance with all government and company regulations.
  • Develops strategic partnerships with Community Based Organizations (CBOs), working to strengthen and grow mutually beneficial relationships.
    • Works with Account Managers to jointly build quarterly business plans with mutually rewarding performance objectives to deliver enrollment/patient growth
    • Track and measure monthly sales and enrollment performance, marketing initiatives, and membership reporting.
    • Handles critical conversations. Be the person who guides our respective businesses through the occasional difficult times, handling difficult conversations and bringing about successful resolutions.
    • Advises and guides field team in development and execution of agreed upon partner growth plans.
  • Serves as a visible member of the community, advocating for Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW), our members and business partners.
    • Understands the local marketplace and the key players that operate within that marketplace
  • Represents and serves as an ambassador of CHPW at public meetings and events in the community leveraging our mission and purpose.
  • Publicly promotes CHPWs brand reputation and value proposition.
    • Attends Key CBO events and promotions
    • Ensures field staff are managing event planning efforts with CBOs.
  • Partners with Marketing to implement go-to market strategies for all CHPW products
    • Fully understands the growth areas of our portfolio; demonstrate proficiency at spotting opportunities,
  • Engages CBOs in co-branded marketing activities supporting outreach and enrollment campaigns
  • Works collaboratively with other internal CHPW business in cross-functional areas to ensure alignment.
  • Works with the Compliance, Public Policy and Legal departments to ensure sales and marketing compliance with state and federal agencies.
  • Cooperates with Health Services, Provider Relations, Regional Managers, Payor Programs and others on joint work impacting our key community partnerships.
  • Monitors departmental budget expenses and reporting.
    • Exempt – Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, participate in all assigned meetings, and meet established performance and accountability standards.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.

License, Certifications, and other Specialized Training

  • Valid Washington state disability license (non-provisional and must maintain license for the duration of employment.)

Additional Requirements

  • Available to work evenings and weekends.
  • This position requires travel, with the possibility of overnight travel.
  • Must possess a valid Drivers’ License and have access to a reliable automobile
Experience
  • Minimum three (5) years in a management capacity leading a Business Development, sales or Marketing team required.
  • Minimum three (3) years working in the healthcare industry, managed care experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with customer relations, vendor negotiations and management strongly preferred.
  • Multilingual candidates preferred

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of clinical, operational, and financial drivers of healthcare industry and organizations
  • Proficiency working with CRM systems and tracking productivity results of staff.
  • Strong sales acumen and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently on projects with little supervision.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.
  • Preferred knowledge of health care field (state funded and or commercial programs
    • Collaborate with others in a respectful manner
  • Perform all functions of the job with accuracy, attention to detail and within established timeframes.
    • Meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Demonstrate professional courtesy to others and ability to maintain confidentiality

CHPW OFFERS ROBUST TOTAL REWARDS

The position is FLSA Exempt (salary) and is not eligible for overtime. The position is also eligible for as an annual incentive based on company, department, and individual performance goals. Full and Part - time employees have the option to enroll in medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance benefits, and 401(k) retirement benefits effective the 1st of the month following or coinciding with their start date. CHPW provides a 6% 401(k) employer match, Basic Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance, short and long-term disability, financial coaching, and wellness programs at no cost.

CHPW employees start earning 17 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) and receive 40 hours of community service for volunteer time, and two floating holidays immediately. The company offers 10 standard holidays, paid jury duty and compassion time.

CHPW offers a monthly stipend to offset work-from-home expenses for roles that are 100% remote.

Must be able to manage conflict, communicate effectively and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment with frequent environmental exposure to low-grade radiation from computer monitors; fast paced with frequent interruptions.
