SCOPE OF ROLE:

This role requires a passion for working to position timberland assets as a part of the solution to the crisis of global warming. The contributions of this role will advance the company’s ability to derive nature-based solutions as products and services from the asset base of more than 2.7 million acres under management. This is in line with the company’s Strategic Priority of positioning for a low-carbon economy through capitalizing on the increasing demand for carbon solutions/sequestration and integrating ecosystem services opportunities into long-term strategic planning. On our team, you will make decisions not just for today, but decisions that have an impact on future generations. You will be responsible for building the tools and processes needed for developing nature-based carbon offset projects, a network of internal and external service providers, and an advanced working knowledge of industry trends.

The contributions you make are foundational to our business and will have a significant impact on key decisions we make including engagement in new business opportunities, harvest scheduling, long-range planning, land sales and acquisitions. The products and processes developed will be in an area of focus for management, external analysts, and investors.

HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

• BS degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Business, and exposure to carbon offset projects or markets
• Understanding of nature-based solutions related to carbon offset markets and project development including registry requirements (ACR, Verra, etc.), state BMP and SFI principles, GIS and forest inventory measurement methods
