Overview

This position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Talent Management. This individual will co-support the implementation of the strategy, programs and processes to increase the organization’s human capacity through assessment, succession planning and leadership and management development of employees. This includes supporting the talent review process, and assessing, developing and implementing new processes and offerings to improve management skills and career development for managers and leaders. In partnership with talent management colleagues, this role will be responsible for integrating organizational people priorities and enterprise-wide management and leadership development expectation into training and development offerings and engagement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the development and deployment of signature leadership and management offerings
  • Develop or deliver internal training programs or acquire from outside vendors related talent management training.
  • Co-lead the integration of enterprise-wide management practices into new management expectations and leadership development offerings.
  • Collaborate with leadership stakeholders and other HR functions to determine core management and leadership competencies as well as competencies by level and function, e.g., strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition.
  • Support development of innovative programs to support the identification of talent pools and other vehicles to drive talent development at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Partner in the analytic effort and establish metrics to ensure the effectiveness of the enterprise’s talent management strategy, processes, and programs.
  • Perform tracking and trending of CLAS requirements for health centers; monitoring and updating of employee data relative to language skills and concordance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s required; master’s degree preferred (e.g., M.S., M.A., M.B.A.) in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years in progressive Organizational Development, Leadership Development or equivalent field required.
  • OD background and change management capability at the individual, team and organization level
  • Proven track record of working with HR and business leaders to develop and deploy enterprise wide strategies, programs, and processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with cultural competency and diversity / equity related implementation projects

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, business acumen and partnering/influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation, training & facilitation skills.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theories, organizational development, and talent management theories and practice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of essential components of talent development as well as familiarity with development and assessment tools, such as Lominger, Birkman, MBTI, 360 instruments, and evidence-based leadership tools and tactics.
  • Hands on, action oriented doer; an individual who will roll-up his/her sleeves and get the work done.
  • Process orientation; an individual who thinks systematically about and across the enterprise.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities using strong project planning and management skills.

  • Knowing of cultural competency frameworks and ability to implement in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with and passion for the communities AltaMed serves.

Pay: $68,640.00 - $108,160.00 per year
