Maintenance Technician Job at Renaissance North Tampa
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the maintenance of buildings and grounds including the installation, maintenance, and repairs of equipment, household and commercial appliances, and renovations of the community. With the approval of the Director, this position may schedule and arrange for contracted installation, maintenance, or repair services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Conduct routine survey of building and grounds to ascertain maintenance needs. Evaluate the physical and aesthetic condition of the community, including individual resident apartments, and make recommendations or arrange required renovations or refurbishment. Prepare maintenance and repair work orders; work within established deadlines evaluating progress and ensuring quality of work. Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment as scheduled. Repair malfunctions and/or coordinate and assist on any such repairs with outside contractors. Repair household and commercial appliances, including dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, ranges, and microwave ovens and/or coordinate and assist on any such repairs with outside contractors. Seed, fertilize, water, trim, and edge turf areas. Collect and dispose of weeds, leaves, and debris. Water, weed, edge, and cultivate planting beds. Prune dead leaves and branches. Spread mulch, topsoil, and other aggregates. Assist in replacing plants as needed. Clean paved surfaces. Complete required paperwork for each assigned work order. Maintain logs and documentation for the various systems. Attend in-service classes and staff meetings, as required. Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality). Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
