Job Title: Maintenance Painter

Job Summary: Responsible for scheduling painting activities and performing surfaces to receive paint coatings or wall coverings. This would include acoustical ceiling and dry wall installation and repair. Ensure the proper mixing and matching of coating colors. Should be able to use all applications of coatings including brush, roller, air and airless paint sprayers. Must maintain equipment of the trade in good working condition. He/she must maintain equipment of the trade in good working condition. Must have a good understanding of all safety requirements of job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs
• Required to climb ladders
• Ability to perform light carpentry and painting tasks
• Stays abreast of changes (safety and code) in the field through seminars and other educational means.
• Communicate with the owner, owner’s representative, or supervisor on the work performed and present status of the mechanical system.
• Knowledge and implementation of proper Personal Protective Equipment is required
• Repair and prepare all surfaces to accept coatings and wall coverings.
• Apply all primers and finish coatings in a proper manner with minimal cleanup.
• Properly select and mix paint to match existing coatings.
• Apply wall coverings as directed by supervisor.
• Submit reports on all worked performed.
• Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the condition of wall coatings and coverings in the facility.
• Must be able to read/understand English
• Assists with the structural trades
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; adhere to company standards and safety program.
• Answer trouble calls as required under direct supervision
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance work
• Assists any tradesperson as required
