Maintenance Mechanic Job at HFM PPC FLEXIBLE PACKAGING LLC
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing factory machinery used in the production of PPC Flexible Packaging products to keep assigned machines functioning at optimal efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Under the supervision and direction of the Department Manager, to successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Create and follow maintenance standard operating procedures for assigned machines.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Clean and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Work with maintenance department to order fabrication of machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools needed to maintain assigned equipment.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Other projects or tasks as assigned by manager.
Marginal Functions:
- Assist other Maintenance Mechanics as needed (ex: due to absence due to illness, vacation, etc.)
- Other tasks or projects as required by manager.
