Summary –
Carry-On Trailer currently has a vacancy in our Maintenance Manager. We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus to new Team Members. The successful candidate will be able to work on a variety of machines and systems to keep our plant and machinery operational. The rate will be determined based on experience. We offer insurance and benefits, a 401K.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities –
Maintenance Manager will prioritize attention to equipment for repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Maintenance Manager will ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, hoists and other production machinery; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Perform routine maintenance on machines like forklifts, hysters and scissor lifts
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications –
The successful candidate will be able to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above. Team member will be evaluated on the ability to perform the duties listed above.
Language skills –
The ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, diagrams and service manuals. The ability to understand instructions in English or Spanish is helpful.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee will be standing for most of the work day. Temperature will vary with the outside temperature. The employee could be exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud. There is risk of personal injury involved with the job.
Education and/or Experience –
A high school diploma or GED is required to hold this position. Prior experience is preferred but not required.
