At United Agronomy, our fleet of trucks, sprayers, and fertilizer spreaders are crucial tools allowing us to facilitate one of our primary goals: to provide precise, accurate, and timely application of farm inputs to help our customers achieve their maximum yield potential.

United Agronomy is looking for a Maintenance Manager at our Parshall and Ross location to oversee maintenance and upkeep of semis, sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, and fertilizer plants. The ideal candidate will have a goal-setting mentality with a focus on excellent record keeping, communication, and constant improvement. This person will be passionate about agriculture and believe strongly in preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Manager will collaborate with our team of full and part time operations staff to conduct timely repairs and routine maintenance to equipment and plants. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate to a large, diverse group of customers, management, and employees.

Required duties, responsibilities, and knowledge:

• Ability to oversee and conduct routine maintenance and repairs on semis, fertilizer spreaders, sprayers, and pick-ups
• Experience with metal fabrication including welding and cutting
• Has obtained or ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Has obtained or ability to obtain a North Dakota Commercial Pesticide Applicators Certificate
• Ability to critically analyze and solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Must be an effective communicator
• Relay challenges to management and customers
• Teach employees how to conduct proper, timely maintenance

• Willingness to assist operations staff during peak seasons
• Driving semi
• Operating fertilizer spreader/sprayer

• Has good logistical awareness
• Ability to prioritize maintenance/repair work based on company workload

• Always seeks to improve and be accountable
• Can handle constructive criticism
• Always willing to learn

Required Education and Experience:

• H.S. Diploma
• 7+ years of experience conducting routine maintenance on agriculture related implements

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in Maintenance Management or closely related field
• 5+ years of experience conducting routine maintenance on agriculture related implements

Salary:

Base Pay: Depending on education and experience

Profit Sharing Bonus: Dependent on performance and company profitability

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
