Canteen Vending Services is looking for a full-time Maintenance Department Service Technician in the Grover Beach operation. Canteen of Coastal CA., Inc. in the 50th year of business, is a full line vending, micro market and refreshment services company. Our corporate office is in Oxnard, with divisions operating in Grover Beach and Bakersfield, servicing hundreds of accounts in retail, colleges and correctional facilities. Mechanical experience is essential and vending/coffee machine experience is helpful however, will train a mechanically inclined individual. Hourly rate depends on experience.

Job description: (not meant to be a complete job description)

Safely drive company vehicle to account locations for install and/or service

Safely and regularly lift and carry items weighing between 25 and 50 lbs. buddy lift anything heavier

Transport and install vending/market and coffee equipment in account locations using tools and moving equipment

Perform routine maintenance, repair and sanitation of equipment in warehouse and/or at customer location

Assist route drivers when needed to meet the needs of the customers

Maintain clean and orderly service vehicles

Complete daily service and safety report

Complete weekly truck report

Daily communication with co-workers, customers, management and Canteen ownership

Reading and interpreting safety regulations/repair/maintenance orders

• Ongoing online safety training required

Regular hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and overtime is required as necessary and approved to meet the needs of clients

Qualifications:

• Support Canteen's safety initiatives to create and be a part of a safe work environment
• Ongoing online safety training required

High school diploma or equivalent

Provide current work authorization documents

Possess valid driver’s license

Have and maintain an insurable driving record (no more than I point on record)

Due to insurance coverage concerns, applicants for driver positions must have at least 5 years of driving experience in order to be given consideration

Fluent in reading and writing English language and able to read and interpret safety regulations, install/repair and maintenance orders

Can safely lift and carry between 25 and 50 lbs. buddy lift anything heavier

Drug free workplace, TESTING REQUIRED
