CBHC has an immediate opening for a part time entry level Maintenance worker to join our Facilities team.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in the following areas:

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HCAV trouble shooting and repair
• Grounds care
• Painting
• Drywall repair

Maintenance Assistant

Position Summary:

Employee is responsible for assisting the maintenance technician in repairing a wide variety of equipment.

Employee will also be involved in housekeeping, carpentry, security, moving of furniture, delivery of supplies, assembly of furniture, automotive, and scheduled air conditioning maintenance, dietary equipment repair, and other duties as assigned.

Employee will be responsible for safety issues including repair of safety equipment and preparing for emergencies through tasks such as shuttering buildings and post disaster cleanup.

Employee will occasionally travel to other CBHC offices to assist with work requests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Employee will possess a high school diploma and a current Florida driver's license. Must have a good driver record in order to drive a CBHC vehicle.
• Will be able to lift 40lbs.
• Will be physically capable of reaching overhead, working from ladders and have a full range of motion in order to complete assigned tasks.
• Will be able to display a rudimentary understanding of blueprints.
• Will be able to follow detailed written instructions.
• Will follow all safety precautions.
• Will be able to work in attics when needed.
• Will be able to perform duties in extreme heat and other weather related conditions.
• Basic computer skills including Word & Excel.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, TB test and a criminal background check.
