Machinist Operator Job at Seward Screw, LLC
We are seeking self-motivated, hands-on individuals to join our entrepreneurial company located in Seward, IL. The most desirable candidate will be results oriented, mechanically minded, have an interest in manufacturing, and how things work!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Set up and operate CNC Machines in a precision turned part and job shop.
- Responsible for loading programs, selecting, and setting up tools, testing programs, and ensuring machine is working correctly.
- Troubleshoot and work with maintenance to repair issues that arise.
- Check parts using specific precision equipment to hold tight tolerances (+/- 0.0002 - +/- .001) and achieve the proper surface finish in accordance with customer specifications and/or engineering drawings.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to set up and operate machine tools
- Proficiency in reading micrometers, calipers, and other measurement instruments
- Measure thickness, diameter, and total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of industrial parts – high level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
- Experience working in and industrial environment
