Machinist - NC Machine Tool Operator Job at GE Power

Responsible for setting up and operating saws, milling machines, NC machining centers, and coordinating measuring machines (CMMs) as required.
- Use gauging equipment as required for the position
- Follow detailed verbal and written instructions
- Perform material handling duties as required
- Perform and support Environmental, Health and Safety audits and related activities
- Participate in process improvement, cycle reduction, and other activities as required to support the Bangor team and site goals
- Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform shop math as required for the position
- Maintain accurate written and computer records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education/Experience
- 2-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology
- OR successful completion of Precision Machining Technology Training Program (17 academic credits)
- OR 1-year post-secondary certificate in CNC Machining
- OR 2 years of 3-or more axis CNC machining (mill, turn, or drill) experience
- OR 5 years of machining (mill, turn, or drill) experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Shifts Available
- 4 – 10 hour days Monday-Thursday
- Day Shift (5AM-3:30PM)
- Night Shift (3:30PM-2AM)
- 3 – 12 hour days Friday-Sunday
- Day Shift (6AM-6:30PM)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.77 - $26.67 per hour
