What We Are Looking for:

• People with a good mechanical background (work experience or hobbies)

• People with good communication and people skills; team players

• Ability to improve and learn through constructive training

What Operators Do:

• A combination of manufacturing, lab testing and computer data entry

• Ensure proper start-up and basic maintenance of equipment and process parameter control for the production of slurries. Measure and record data.

• Load feed and dilute compounds according to work orders, SOPs or batch sheets

• Sample and analyze materials at various in-process and final stages; make appropriate adjustments to maintain product specifications.

• Ensure materials are added in proper quantities and in proper sequence. Use conversion charts and other calculation tools.

• Use analytical equipment such as pH meters, particle size analyzers, moisture analyzers, scales and balances.

• Clean machines and equipment.

• Package slurries into a variety of containers.

• Complete production documentation and records with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

• Conduct daily briefings at shift hand-off meetings to review and fully understand current operating status and to make judgements about priority of tasks for next shift.

• Perform system transactions to maintain proper inventory.

• Interpret and troubleshoot material and process control data. Make adjustments as needed according to Response Flow Checklists, supervisory or work order instructions, and knowledge and experience to achieve desired results.
