Charge Nurse LVN / LPN, 10pm-6am Saturday/Sunday
Memory Care of Westover Hills is looking to hire a LVN Charge Nurse, with possibility of becoming a Full-time Employee . Schedule is Monday -Friday, MUST BE able to be Flexible with your hours, weekends are required at times.

Duties:

1. Supervising care givers/med-techs, making sure they are performing their job duties.

2. Accu-Checks, Insulin, and Treatments/PRN. Medication administration if no med tech on duty, weekly Skin Assessment and able to recognize changes in resident condition/behaviors, Vital signs, able to work along side home health and hospice agencies. Able to communicate change of conditions to doctors and note off new orders. Must be able to deal with occasional from residents with DX: of cognitive impairments or any form of dementia.

3. Responsible for safety checks on all residents.

4. Knowledge of using Point Click Care System preferred but not required.

5. Excellent communication skills with residents, resident family members, physicians, staff, and all vendors, including fellow co-workers.

6. Writing telephone orders, effectively communicating with Physician, NP's, Home Health and Hospice Agencies.

7. Excellent documentation skills, follow policy and procedure as indicated by facility.

8. Dependable, caring, compassionate, Team player, and being able to work under pressure.

9. Leadership skills- Must be able delegate to staff, demonstrate excellent decision making skills, must able to set and manage priorities.

10. Preferred Experience with Alzheimer and Dementia Care.

Any additional duties and policy and procedures will be discussed at time of interview.
