Havco Wood Products, North American’s largest producer of Laminated Truck Flooring is searching for a Lumber Grader

Our Vonore, TN facility is in search of a lumber grader. This will be either a second or third shift position We require completion of the NHLA Lumber Grader course and one year of lumber grading experience. This person would be grading green lumber with an emphasis on safety and quality. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class flooring manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Applies NHLA grading rules to inspect lumber at production rates, while maintaining the required grading accuracy
- Communicates with team members to ensure a consistent flow of quality lumber
- Work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
Lumber Grader Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- NHLA certified
- Possess ability to accurately apply NHLA rules
- Minimum of one (1) year experience grading green and kiln dried lumber
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and quality
- Must have the ability to work in various climates for long periods of time
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
