JOB DESCRIPTION:

A LPN promotes the residents' health, wellness and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. A LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and handles a diverse range of tasks including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients.
• Working closely with others in a fast paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager
• Accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with assisted living experience.
• Handles physician orders, administers medications, collect and maintain resident data, take vitals, assist with resident comfort
• Assure proper procedures are followed at all times
• Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manor

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York required
• Degree from accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required
• Current CPR certification required
• Education or experience in long term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
• Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
• Strong customer service skills and compassion
