Job Summary and Qualifications

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LVN/LPN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

The LVN/LPN will function in a manner to provide quality patient care for patients from pediatric to elderly. Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Malignancies involving all body systems requiring medical/surgical, chemo/radiation therapies including but not limited to: Neuro, GYN/ GU, GI, pulmonary, skeletal and hematopoietic systems.

What qualifications you will need:

• State of Alaska Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse required
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required
  
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification required
• Graduate of Vocational Nursing School required
• At least one year of applicable nursing experience preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
