Martis Camp Club's Lookout Lodge restaurant is winter dining at its best. Just off the private ski hill and lift, the Lookout Lodge dining team serves members and their families as they head to and return from a Tahoe-perfect day on the slopes. The floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful view doesn't hurt either! The Lookout Lodge FOH team is looking for a winter season Host/ Hostess to wow the members with delicious food and amazing service.

The ideal fit for this position is someone with experience in serving who approaches interactions in a service minded way and works well in a team. Our aim is to provide members and their families amazing service while creating a warm and friendly environment in which to relax. The Host/ Hostess is responsible for providing Club Members and guests with the finest service while creating a warm and friendly environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Greeting members as they enter, using their names if known.
• Providing members with menus and answering any initial questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Manage the door and putting members on a waitlist as necessary.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
• Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
• Answering phone calls and answering questions.
• A knowledge of the menu.
• Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Providing great customer service.
• Attention to detail: lights, thoroughness, cleanliness, safety, etc.
• Provide warm hospitality, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
• Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
• Keep member satisfaction in mind when making all decisions.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
• Comply at all times with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations.
• Perform other duties as required by your manager.

Other requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (marijuana results excluded for 21 and older)
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be open to occasional overtime in peak periods
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
• Must be able to carry up to 30lbs
• Must be able to repeatedly reach/bend/kneel/pull/push to assist with product storage, cleaning duties and food and beverage maintenance
• Must be California Food Handlers Safe Certified
