This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for all aspects of Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) to include material handling and physical inventory and pick-up and delivery of items to include bulk storage. This includes, under minimal supervision,
- operating and maintaining a large warehouse, storage area, or isolated stockroom
- conduct, storing, issuing, delivering, and shipping of equipment, material, tools, supplies, spares and mail
- Perform receiving functions to ensure items are not damaged and the correct item, quantities and documents are received
- Issue requested items and ensure the right item and quantity is provided to the customer
- Store all equipment and material managed on LISC in the correct warehouse location, material bin, tool room, or other designated storage site
- Inspect and perform repackaging of items and cleanliness of the warehouse to protect equipment and material while in storage
- Inspect and monitor test equipment in the warehouse and documents calibrations according to the schedule to ensure items are always ready for issue
- Fill shipping requests and deliver items from storage area to requestor or designee
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move large or palletized items
- Monitor stock shortages and reorder points within the warehouses by physically checking locations and/or investigating usage and receipt documentation
- Initiate periodic reports per direction of warehouse supervisor
- Correspond loss or damage of government property and material and reports per direction of the warehouse supervisor
- Prepare required documentation to process turn-ins / excess to base supply or DLA disposition services
- Maintain and replenish bench stock items and supply point assets
- Disassemble and assemble furniture, moves and relocates furniture as required
- Maintain accountable records for hand tools, property, materials, and receipts that are essential to Logistics Support operations.
- Take direction from higher level grade employees, when applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Ability to operate general PHS&T equipment such as: forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, hand tools, etc., with training provided by RGNext
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of warehouse or Logistics experience
- Experience with operating computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with a Property Management system, preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations
- Knowledge of movement and handling of hazardous material in accordance with regulations.
- Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with assistance
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
- Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Requests for medical or religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $28.46 to $35.52 per hour. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
