Valiant has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Security Cooperation Engagement Program (CSCEP). The Program assists the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in developing partner nation countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) capabilities through building partnership capacity (BPC) activities. The Logistics Manager plans, schedules, organizes, and executes partner nation equipment acquisitions and international shipments; manages warehousing; and manages Government Furnished Property (GFE)/Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) for this international program with very specific goals and mission objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads and manages Valiant CSCEP logistics operations ensuring property is received, securely stored, inventoried, packed, shipped, tracked, and audited within scope, time, budget, and import/export compliance regulations.
• Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including Valiant program leadership and associates, Valiant corporate support personnel, Government officers, subcontractors, and freight forwarders, to purchase partner nation equipment and plan and prepare shipments worldwide.
• Prepares equipment procurement and shipping freight forwarding requests for quotes and analyzes freight forwarder rates and air or ocean carrier routings to award and manage U.S. and foreign shipments
• Manages warehouse facility operations, maintenance, and activities
• Prepares written client updates and reports on equipment purchasing, inventory, and shipment status

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Secret level security clearance
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in planning and executing international logistics
• Requires strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other international trade controls.
• Demonstrated experience in operating material handling equipment is preferred
• Experience supporting activities of the Department of Defense or Department of State is preferred
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, be a fast learner, and work well in a team environment. Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools required.
• Be able to transport and lift 40-pound boxes of documents and equipment
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to foreign and domestic locations, including a valid Passport and any required immunizations
• Must have sufficient creditworthiness to secure a company Purchase Card
