JOB SUMMARY


The Logistics Coordinator manages all events associated with the successful, efficient, and economical movement of product, both domestic and international, from the point of shipment into the Distribution Centers in Wendell, NC, Mexia, TX and Mississauga, ON Canada.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB


  • To effectively communicate with air, ground, trucking and container vessel providers, customs brokers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • To provide required information or documentation to carriers or brokers to ensure on time deliveries
  • To manage and preserve documents for the record, such as ISFs, commercial invoices, claims, and correspondence
  • To negotiate shipping charges and ensure Kioti is receiving competitive freight rates
  • To determine routing of inbound shipments from US vendors by acquiring competitive freight rates
  • To obtain and record tracking information of inbound international and domestic shipments, from time of departure to receipt into Kioti inventory (KPI)
  • To create open order reports and expedite past due orders
  • To review order acknowledgements, record expected ship dates and follow up to ensure on time shipments
  • To file and resolve freight claims
  • To assist PPSRs with ETAs, expected ship dates, travel time, and to work with receiving department lead to expedite receipt process
  • To obtain and maintain current USMCA certificates of origin for US vendors and provide to Canadian broker
  • To review, approve and code inbound freight and brokerage invoices for accounts payable

  • Ability to analyze data, create reports and data entry
  • Proficiency or ability to learn multiple platforms, such as MS Office, CRM, MS Dynamics SL, SharePoint, My Carrier, DOSS, etc.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, common issues, and effective solutions
