Responsibilities:
  • Located in the National Capital Region and available as requested, to report onsite as required to assist in the effective execution of both domestic and international delivery/distribution of vaccines, ancillary kits and other items as required.
  • Ensure execution of daily deliveries of medical countermeasures.
  • Respond to information requests from the VTCC, White House, recipient jurisdiction, organization and country, other federal agencies (CDC, BARDA, DoS, DOJ), and industry partners to ensure the efficient international distribution of vaccines and ancillary kits to fill orders.
  • Facilitate coordination across entities, with the single goal of providing actionable information and knowledge to enable decision-making by leaders.
  • Understand the commercial transportation industry and networks to advise planning and operations.
  • Analyze supply data analytics to assist leadership with decision-making.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Supply Chain organization to combine efforts and avoid duplication.
  • Coordinate with vaccine distributor’s liaison(s) to coordinate receipt of packing documents.
  • Coordinate delivery and receipt of necessary packing and shipping documentation to ASPR, supporting shipping organization, freight forwarder and recipient organizations.
  • Track ongoing requirements against supply and distribution, analyze data and inform the Distribution Officer of any necessary changes.
  • Attend ASPR staff, administration, and management meetings as directed.
  • Conduct briefings as directed.
  • Provide updates to the Executive Domestic and International Distribution Dashboard as directed.
  • Produce, update, and forward, as needed, documentation to support the distribution and delivery of vaccines, domestic and international, including but not limited to donation invoices, timeline updates and distribution schedules, and transportation notifications.
  • Design and create presentations using MS Office and be able to disseminate information and interpret analytical data for senior leaders for mission analysis.
Qualifications:
  • At least ten (10) years’ of experience in an operations, logistics, medical logistics field or work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills (e.g. time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self-motivation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail).
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of logistics/supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of medical countermeasure and treatment distribution.
  • Knowledge of supply chain optimization and effectiveness.
  • Oral and written communication skills, reporting information to senior/executive-level leaders.
  • Knowledge of and skills in leading logistics operations.
  • Ability to organize, clearly communicate, and solve problems.
