Loan Reconcilement Specialist - Loan Operations Job at WesBanco Bank, Inc.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the daily reconcilement of more difficult bank loan general ledgers and records in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures, alerting the team leader and management of any and all out-of-balance conditions, and taking the necessary action to ensure that outstanding outages are researched and corrected.
LOCATION:
This position is hybrid. The employee is split between remote and office work on a formalized schedule. Consideration for location will be in Wheeling, WV, Fairmont, WV or Bowie, MD.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconciles loan control account. Loan Control is the clearing account for the majority of loan transactions processed daily. Requires a large amount of attention to detail to identify and clear amounts of transactions.
Identify, research and correct general ledger out of balances.
Communicate outages to various teams within loan operations and throughout the organization.
Follows up to ensure outages have been corrected and general ledgers are back in balance.
Reporting & follow-up of reconciling items not cleared timely.
Reviews Account Suspect and post payments as applicable for each application.
Reconciles unposted loan transactions (business, credit line, real estate, loan loss applications)
Responds to phone calls relative to group duties and responsibilities.
Provides internal customer support.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications: Excel, Outlook and Word
Ability to enter data in banking related software systems
Must possess quick and accurate keyboard and typing skills.
Accounting skills including understanding of debit and credit functions.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking, loan operations or accounting position preferred.
