As the Lexus of Stevens Creek Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, preserving and directing all facility maintenance and janitorial work being performed on the dealership according to company standards.
This position is 100% on site at Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA.

- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all facility maintenance, janitorial and other designated staff.
- Manages the operation of the maintenance, janitorial and other designated staff members and ensures they perform their jobs efficiently and accurately.
- Oversees all routine preventive maintenance needed in the dealership, including painting, repairing roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of the building structure.
- Contracts and oversees the activities of various contractors for the fulfillment of facilities maintenance/janitorial responsibilities.
- Plans and manages department budgets to endure cost effective operations.
- Oversees purchasing activity, ensuring best possible price, performance, and supply solutions are secured.
- Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve facilities maintenance/janitorial service performance.
- Inspects grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance.
- Works along side the Fixed Ops Director Director/GM to forecast necessary levels of staffing and stock, in order to facilitate effective scheduling and ordering.
- Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership and its personnel.
- Assists in the coordination of building space allocation, layout and communication services.
- Forecasts necessary levels of staffing and stock, in order to facilitate effective scheduling and ordering.
- Assists in the administration of initiatives related to employee transportation and vehicle inventory control.
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Assists in other areas of the dealership and performs other administrative duties, as needed.
- Purchases and tracks dealership housekeeping/maintenance supplies and other miscellaneous items as directed by management.
- Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
- Maintains professional appearance.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience and responsibility in facility maintenance; bilingual skills, desired;
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the repair of buildings or other structures such as parking structures; familiar with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and all health and safety regulations; and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, percentages, rations, and algebra) and application;
- Ability to coordinate activities with other employees and to oversee the work of subordinates; juggle multiple priorities effectively; perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed; use good judgment in challenging situations; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; and use standard office equipment;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record;

- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
