Learning and Development Specialist Job at Noblis
Noblis is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist with an ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI + CI Polygraph in Missouri.
Noblis is seeking an experienced, dynamic learning and development professional to join our growing Learning & Development (LD) consulting team. The LD Specialist will be responsible for supporting the client(s) and assisting with all aspects of adult learning and training to include, but not limited to the support of learning requirements, maintenance of web-based and/or instructor led courses, and the delivery and implementation of courses.
The LD Specialist will perform work independently but will be expected to collaborate with both team members and subject matter experts (SME). Noblis is seeking a creative thinker who is detail-oriented, project focused, and has the proven expertise to make learning meaningful and applicable for students. This position is ideal for the individual who is energized by learning and seeking a career in adult education and training. The ideal candidate will have diverse experience within the L&D field and can easily adapt to different L&D expectations and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodology in an operational environment. S/he will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, as the candidate will be facilitating learning needs assessments, presentations, survey results, and focus groups.
- Knowledge of current models of instructional development and professional development for faculty.
- Ability to complete analysis of learning requests leading to the design of engaging course and programs that contribute to the client’s mission.
- Ideate training plans and course requests that capture the “big picture” in terms of developing plans of study.
- Excellent consultation, organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Provide subject matter expertise as it pertains to excellence in training.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or 6 years of relevant work experience
- 3 or more years working in the L&D field designing, developing, and delivering training.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an environment of rapid change.
- Equally successful working on a team and independently.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience in higher education or an adult learning environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in curriculum or instructional design, adult learning, or education.
- TS/SCI with CI poly
Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
