Summary
Our LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group Business Intelligence team is looking for a team lead who will partner with those in our business and technology teams to meet the needs of our internal stakeholders in the development of Business Intelligence and Analytic solutions.
Scope and Key Responsibilities
- Leads a team to support their development and work products
- Supports the development and training of team members
- Develops best practices
- Drives insights and recommendations to the business
Preferred Background / Experience
- Education: Bachelors or Master's or PhD Degree
- Technical skills: Power BI, SQL, DAX, KQL, Python, PySpark
- Years of Relevant Experience: 5-7
- Years of Mgmt Experience: 0-1
Data Visualization
- Has in-depth understanding of the importance of user experience.
- Can design and create compelling visualizations to influence stakeholders.
- Able to lead, advise, and support others in clear communication of data and analyses.
Data Modeling
- Experience in dimensional design
- Has experience in statistical analysis.
- Intermediate in big data platforms and languages to explore and understand big data sets.
- Can act as a coach to teach modelling techniques to junior colleagues.
Thought Partnership
- Is able to work with stakeholders and guides them through hypothesis thinking.
- Is able to identify most relevant analyses and metrics to support business/customers with insights and recommendations.
- Is able to pro-actively help steer the business based on a good understanding of our customers, markets, trends, and challenges.
- Is able help stakeholders set appropriate goals to accomplish business objectives.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Experience working in a team utilizing Agile methodology
- Ensures the team has strategically aligned goals and outcomes with clearly defined responsibilities
- Facilitates interaction and dialogue to address disagreements within the team
- Volunteers knowledge and expertise to aid cross-team efforts
- Builds cross-team, collaborative relationships to overcome barriers or roadblocks to team performance
