1. Ensure that department goals are communicated, understood, and by hourly team members at the beginning of their shift.

2. Coordinate tasks to ensure that the restaurant runs efficiently and follow-up.

3. Work with management to ensure that newly hired hourly team members receive proper training.

4. Counsel hourly team members on work related concerns and issues to ensure satisfaction and productivity enlisting the support of management as needed.

5. Listen to team members suggestions for improving how work is done and guests are served. Gain management support as needed to act upon suggestions.

6. Work with management to ensure that hourly team members have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs (e.g., supplies, equipment, inventory, etc.).

7. Ensure that team members are continually and properly trained on all aspects of their job.

8. Work with management to ensure that team members clearly understand the positional roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.

9. Address guest concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by enlisting the help of management or other team members.

10. Give constructive feedback to team members to help them continue to improve at their job.

11. Act as a bridge between management and hourly team members to facilitate restaurant operation (e.g., keep managers apprised of hourly team members activities, issues, challenges, etc.).

12. Collaborate with management to develop and carryout ideas and procedures to continuously improve team performance.

13. Enforce compliance with company and mandated standards (e.g., safety, OSHA, department-specific procedures, SNHD regulations).

14. Work with management to recognize and celebrate hourly associate performance contributions (e.g., department-specific recognition programs).

15. Manage basic human resource issues/concerns of hourly team members enlisting the support of management as needed (payroll, work hours, etc.).

16. As an hourly team members first point of contact, provide fair and consistent assistance.

17. Conduct day-to-day shift supervision and oversee restaurant operations (e.g. assign positions, coordinate breaks, manager checklist completion, counting safe, etc.).

18. Serve as an individual contributor and department role model by performing technical or functional job duties (e.g., accounting, food preparation, room preparation, sanitation standards).

19. Assist in working toward positive financial results through waste control, labor control and guest satisfaction.

20. Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained staff.

21. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all team members and guests.

22. Be on the floor during entire meal period and ensure adequate coverage (except during your breaks).

23. Ensure that only a quality product is being served.

24. Ensure all side work is done as required.

25. Monitor uniform standards with yourself and team members to include health cards.

26. Continually inspect all areas of the venue to ensure any/all maintenance tasks get communicated to management and completed.

27. Set the example and enforce the standards of honesty, integrity, respect and teamwork.
