Truck Driver- Laundry-Full Time- Laundry Services - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for full time truck drivers for Virginia and North Carolina routes. Must have the ability to work Monday thru Saturday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Adjustable based on customer requirements) and have the flexibility to work holidays and weekends as needed.

Driver will operate a 26 foot delivery box truck 26,000 lb. GVW with automatic transmission to serve commercial laundry customers in Hampton Roads, Petersburg area, and North Carolina. Driver is responsible for; driving scheduled routes, loading and unloading linen carts when picking up and delivering goods to customers, physically counting and/or weighing goods to ensure accuracy of inventory and order, accurately record delivery tickets, maintain truck’s cleanliness, conduct pre-trip preventive checks and light maintenance, report mechanical condition to ensure safe and efficient operation. Driver will provide good customer service and accurately complete required paperwork such as order delivery tickets, DOT logs and vehicle reports. Must be available to work Monday thru Saturday on a varying schedule between the hours of 7:00 AM-3:30 PM and have the flexibility to work holidays and weekends as needed. Schedules are weekly schedules and are provided prior to the start of the next work week.

Qualified applicants must have the physical stamina to lift 50 pounds, move and direct pallet jacks and carts with material weighing up to 900 pounds. Experience driving a large delivery truck, 26ft box truck 26,000lb GVW. DOT regulations apply to include DOT drug screening and DOT physical requirements. Proof of acceptable driving record required. Pre-employment drug testing and clearance through local, state and federal criminal/security background investigation for access to military installations is required.
