Laundry Attendant Job Description
We are looking to hire a responsible Laundry Attendant to assist the Front Desk Staff and Housekeeping Department. Your work will be critical in making sure the team meets its guest services & individual goals efficiently and to management satisfaction. You will be responsible for helping to ensure the laundry is completed in a timely manner, inventory updates, organization, and many more things that will help with the success of the hotel.
Our ideal candidate will have high organization skills, excellent communication, and a strong work ethic. Our candidate will need to be able to stand on their feet for up to 8-hours at a time, bend at the waist, lift their arms above their heads, twist their torso, and be able to lift up to 50lbs. Our candidate will ensure the laundry is sorted, washed, dried, folded, bundled, and put away properly. They will also ensure the laundry room and storage rooms are organized and clean; and, help manage inventory levels for linen, terry, and detergent. Our candidate will also help make sure various areas of the hotel are kept clean. This may include, but not be limited to the pool area, pool bathrooms, public bathrooms, and party rooms.
Some of the typical tasks you may be required to perform as a laundry attendant may include, but not be limited to:
- Stripping hotel rooms to get the laundry down in a timely manner
- Completing the laundry
- Keeping laundry room and storage rooms clean and organized
- Managing inventory levels for linen, terry, bedding, and detergent
- Helping keep the pool area, pool bathrooms, and public bathrooms clean and stocked
- Running items to guest rooms if guest request extra items
- Helping front desk clean-up the party rooms
Requirements
