SeamonWhiteside is in search of an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Landscape Designer in a fast-paced environment in our growing Mount Pleasant, SC Office.

SW+ is seeking an entry level and mid-level Landscape Designer that will support projects while playing a significant role in project delivery within SW+. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation (design, planning, modelling, construction documentation knowledge) and a positive attitude toward involvement on a wide range of projects. The entry level position will assist the LA team on all phases of projects from initial site investigations to CD creation, while the mid-level position will engage in all phases as well as being responsible for managing projects and leading the design effort on them. Both positions will prepare deliverables including base maps (utilizing Auto Cad and GIS), cost estimates, construction documents (plans and specifications) and reports. This position will work to develop hand and computer renderings (details, plans, cross-sections, perspective renderings). Will work with assigned project team and others regarding project work as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Portfolio: Must be submitted along with a resume

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture

Experience: 1 -5 years experience in a professional design office

• Exceptional AutoCAD technical drawing and digital production skills
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering skills (Lumion, Sketchup, or similar preferred)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point
• Proven experience with construction detailing and construction documentation
• Exceptional graphic presentation skills including hand drawing and high-quality illustrations
• Proficiency in red line comments on projects
• Proficiency with time management to include meeting deadlines
• Proficiency with tracking personal project time while understanding profit and billable hours
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
