Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for extracting crude materials such as barite and bentonite from mines.
- Operates heavy and mobile equipment used in mining operations, monitors performance and performs maintenance and troubleshooting in the mine environment, as required.
- Operate mining production equipment in a safe, efficient and compliant manner. Report deviations to mine management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
- Communicate with coworkers and management.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition using preventative maintenance systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must live in or around Battle Mountain OR are willing to move to or around Battle Mountain at their own expense
- Must fluently read, write, and speak English
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.
