Job description:
The lab assistant will be responsible for assist with the intake of samples, customer relations, and some limited prepatory work in the laboratory. . Specific job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

1. Working with state of the art equipment in ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

2. Maintaining workplace and operations to ensure quality goals are met.

3. Maintaining a level of professionalism within the laboratory environment among other employees and external clientele.

4. Conducting all documentation and procedures necessary for the intake of samples.

5. Conducting a limited amount of prepatory work for samples entering the laboratory (sorting, weighing, etc).

6. Assisting with laboratory orders, customer orders, and questions from our vendors.

7. Use of a variety of software applications and cloud-based platforms.

At a minimum, the Lab Assistant must have:

1. Two or more years experience in a customer service position.

2. Experience with microsoft word, excel, quickbooks, and related software applications.

3. A bachelors degree prefered but not required.

4. Some laboratory experience preferred but not required.

2. Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.

Location:
This lab assistant position is for a laboratory located in Natchez, MS. Natchez is a beautiful and historic city located on the Mississippi River. Since 2018 Natchez has undergone an exciting and intense period of revitalization. Located conveniently to both
Baton Rouge and Jackson Mississippi, Natchez offers the feeling of small town living with the conveniences of larger metropolitan areas nearby. Natchez offers abundant outdoors activities, recreational areas, and access to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Research laboratory experience: 1 year (Preferred)
