Lab Lead Job at Dana Incorporated

Job Purpose
This Dana facility is located less than three miles from Fiat Chrysler’s current Toledo North Assembly Plant, where the current Jeep Wrangler is manufactured. The plant will assemble front and rear axles for the next-generation Jeep Wrangler, keeping the history of the location in Toledo alive. In addition to the proximity to FCA’s Toledo plant, Dana’s new site is optimally located to support automakers throughout the region. The Supervisor has responsibility for coordinating the work activity for people performing audit inspection functions, gage metrology, product metrology, gear quality, salvage/rework.
The Lab Lead’s work is completed in an office setting, though sometimes the programmer may be required to travel to customer or suppliers sites. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the company. If the machine is utilized 24 hours a day, the Lab Lead may be assigned the “swing shift” some days and regular shifts on others.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
A Lab Lead must know how to use programs such as
- Zeiss Calypso Software and AutoCAD.
- Ability to utilize a FARO arm is a plus.
- A working knowledge of statistics and data analysis are useful in this position, as this job requires the Lab Lead to analyze testing data and communicate the results in a manner that can be distributed to peers, upper management and the customer.
