Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and making sauces.
- Prepares and cooks food to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces, utensils, dishes, etc as needed throughout the shift and at the end of the business day.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food logs.
- Follow all food health and safety requirements.
- Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage.
- Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors.
Work Hours & Benefits
Our restaurant is open Tuesday - Wednesday from 11 am to 8 pm, and Thursday - Saturday 11 am-9 pm. Hours may vary depending on business needs. We are closed on most major holidays. Schedules are somewhat flexible and we will work with you if you need certain days off. We offer employees free meals for shifts 5 hours or longer. Advancement, education & growth opportunities are available.

About Choate BBQ:
We started out smoking meats in the back yard for ourselves and for gatherings with family and friends. We soon learned that we were on to something good and were strongly encouraged by our friends and family to do something to get this out there to the public. We began catering some weddings for friends and providing food for church events while we figured out what was next. We decided that we wanted to start a food truck and catering business. We did that for about 5 years and loved it. We decided that it was time to take the next step in July of 2021 we opened a restaurant in Ball Ground, GA.
